EFTPOS machine Manufacturers
GPC Electronics recently produced the 100, 000th electronic transaction terminal for Ingenico International, the world’s largest supplier of electronic point-of-sale (EFTPOS) transaction systems. GPC started delivering terminals direct to Ingenico’s customers less than 12 months ago.
Driven by price and flexibility
Ingenico’s end customers include Financial Institutions and Major Retailers within Asia-Pacific region. Ingenico offers its customers a degree of customisation such as different colours and screen-printing of lenses. GPC’s high volume, high mix capabilities allow Ingenico to tailor products to individual end customer needs.
In addition, GPC’s ability to turn production on and off in a volatile market, provides Ingenico with another important competitive advantage. Account Manager, Robert Wallis said, “We’re very flexible, we’re able to set up quickly
and respond to changes and turn equipment on and off very quickly.”
Hands-off Management
Rather than just react to customer issues after they occur GPC pro-actively seeks ways to improve the business model on an ongoing basis. With this approach GPC has given Ingenico a competitive advantage through improved product quality, great flexibility, price competitiveness and best delivery performance.
Julian Arul, Ingenico’s Operations Director said, “We have a very open business relationship with GPC and enjoy their responsiveness in meeting end-customer demands.”
GPC’s has a project team dedicated to Ingenico comprising planning, purchasing, quality, manufacturing engineering and test engineering personnel to ensure that product supply is managed with very little involvement from Ingenico. For example, seldom does Ingenico need to send engineering staff to GPC to resolve technical issues.
GPC ships daily to end-customer or distributor’s sites within Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand and India.
