POS Lavu VS Revel
This is the most embarrassing example of social media astroturfing I've seen in a while. Revel has been around for 18 months now, and their greatest accomplishment has been scrapping their original (and awful) code base because the one customer they had for it shut down. They schmoozed their way to a 3.7 million dollar investment, and now charge exorbitant fees similar to traditional Revel pos documentation, manualss in an attempt to justify the revenue projections they made in order to obtain said investment. Their app is just as likely to get kicked off the iOS platform as it is to even get to the $100, 000 in revenue mark - they go completely around the App Store, abusing Apple's developer provisioning system to sell their app.The Square numbers you posted are completely wrong, and your answers are written in very poor language. Both reflect your lack of professionalism.
If you want the real up and comers in the iOS POS industry, check out POSLavu, ISIS, or Ambur. They're all priced much more aggressively than Revel. Ambur particularly so, $999 with no monthly fees for unlimited usage, albeit the only online service is Dropbox backup, POSLavu is at $3500 for an unlimited site license for employees and restaurant setup/management can only be done on their cloud service and $100/month in fees. ISIS is $999 and $50/terminal in monthly fees, with again restaurant setup/management only done on their cloud service.
It's an interesting market, especially since they all are examples of how B2B apps could work on iOS, and I'm much happier to recommend any of those 3 over a company that has been floundering for over a year now, who happened to get investment $, and now definitely will be unable to succeed since they have to charge ridiculous amounts of money to justify it.
