Olympic IOCG Province

Eastern Gawler IOCG Province Cover 3D Model location mapThe eastern Gawler Craton hosts the giant Olympic Dam iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) deposit as well as several other world class IOCG deposits (e.g. Prominent Hill and Carrapateena). The region is covered by a thick sequence of Mesoproterozoic to Cenozoic sedimentary and volcanic rocks making the region difficult and costly to explore using conventional methods.

This product shows the distribution of cover in 3D and is based on SEEBASETM, drilling and previous depth to basement maps.
